Education plays a vital role in the well-being and prosperity of every nation.  Nepal Program For Progress (NPFP) seeks to provide educational opportunities for children living in remote regions of Nepal.

The people of Nepal desperately want to be educated. While the government endorses universal education, it lacks the means to adequately supply and maintain its schools.  NPFP addresses these issues.

How Does NPFP Support Educational Experiences For Children?

NPFP is helping to raise the standard of education in isolated, impoverished areas

of the country with a  four-pronged approach:

SUPPLY schools with appropriate educational materials

PROVIDE basic personal items to ensure a child’s attendance at school

UPGRADE existing schools for a safe and comfortable environment

DEVELOP community partnerships and establish common goals

We are currently working with government supported schools in the eastern

Solukhumbu District. 

IMMEDIATE

Supply educational materials

       Upgrade sub-standard buildings

Establish school libraries

LONG TERM

      Provide teacher training

      Create scholarships for higher education

      Establish lending libraries 

      Fund adult literacy classes

      Develop schools as community centers
